Award winning television host Roni Proter began her broadcasting career in the small town of Sherman, Texas as a news reporter for an NBC affiliate where she shot, wrote and edited her own stories. Roni continued TV reporting and anchoring for several news stations, including Dallas, covering a variety of stories, breaking news and in-depth features. Roni’s first hosting and producing role was Metroscene TV, an urban lifestyle show highlighting downtown living and culture that ran for two seasons on FOX in Chicago. Simply Beautiful, Roni’s second show, uncovers the secrets to natural living. By using natural beauty products, exploring new fitness trends, and engaging in the great outdoors, Roni shares her secrets to increasing longevity and overall wellness. Her fascination and passion for the subject are incorporated into ever aspect of her life, including teaching yoga and attending culinary school. Fitness and health have become integral parts of her identity; she believes that by making small changes in her personal care, she can have a big impact on our world. Her quest for an active, healthy lifestyle carries her through 2 seasons and 52 episodes of Simply Beautiful, which airs nationally on the new High Definition network Veria TV. Currently, Roni is the Entertainment Reporter for Dallas’s CW Network affiliate, KDAF. Weeknights on Channel 33, you can catch her reporting on beauty, fashion, fitness, films, nightlife and overall trends in the entertainment world.
